Oxlade Recounts Dropping Out Of University Due To Cult!sm Pressure – Nigerian singer, Ikuforiji Olaitan, a.k.a Oxlade, has recounted harrowing experiences of his childhood and undergraduate days at the Lagos State University (LASU).

Speaking as a guest on a podcast interview with Tea with Tay, the artiste opened up about being raised by his

grandmother after his mother passed away when he was only 3.

“Due to the struggle it took me to enter that school, I was a bookworm for 2 years. I was always in the chapel.”

According to him, being in church helped him stay focused.

“I’ve never said it before. When some hits were trying to make me join gang, my granny called me to return home. Over the next couple days, I heard those boys almost killed my roommate. They beat the sh*t out of everybody in my hostel because of me. That was the last time I went to LASU. “God dey o. God don save me countless times,” he testified.

He expressed deep gratitude for his grandmother’s foresight, emphasising that God’s intervention played a crucial role in his safety during those turbulent years.
